I don’t have a direction here for this blog, but I want to have my voice here and I want it to be heard. Blogging has always been something I wanted to do seriously, but I never really took it serious.

The first blog I ever created was called “TheBlackTechReport” my vision was to help African American close the gap between us and technology. I never thought it would amount to anything, but when the internet was heating up I was in the right place at the right time.

I self hosted my blog on wordpress, and I was on twitter in the early days, when things were amazing and really connections with people were being made everyday, and then I had something happen that would alter my entire concept and idea.

I made a logo, and put it up as my background on my computer at a job I worked at and my manager at the time asked me what it was, so I told him, and that’s when my idea turn into something else. Because he told me in that moment I needed to take it down because other people in the office (white people) might not like it. Remind you it was just a logo with an image of a silloute figure and the words blacktechreport below it. Need less to say I valued this Manager and I was at work, but they way he made it seem was like there were white people who wanted to put the confederate flag up on there screen and so this could start a entire malee of people showing what they liked.

So what did I do, I took it down, and I started to second guess my activities after that. I never told anyone what happen, and it just made an impress in my mind that maybe what I wanted to do would be a bad thing. So I stopped putting so much into eventuly it died and my stepping stone because a missed opportunity at my own admission.

I used to let the influence of others help shape my decisions and ideas, but as I turned 50 I started to tell myself, I will no longer listen to someone about my vision. I would take any idea I have and just run with it, good or bad, right or wrong I would draw a line in the sand. I am now 55 and I have multiple social media and saw what I want the way I want to say it, and I no longer fear what people think, even if they are friends because I finally realised that if you don’t have your own thoughts, then what ever you do is not really you.

This is a new start, and I will find a directly for this blog it’s going to be about Affiliate Marketing/Digital Marketing because that’s what I do full-time now. And through my experiece I have learned to help people find there voice so they can have a go in this space. To come up with ideas put them out there and see what it does for them, to help people find there way. If you want to be a part of this join me on social media on most platforms @jaysonflint That is my name everywhere. Stick with me we are going places together.
